There’s a real big difference between the average, shitty broke horse,
and a well-trained horse. And when I say that, there’s always some tree hugger who takes offense because I have no idea just how good Precious is as long as you always have treats, don’t ask her to do anything real well, and willing to listen to every excuse she has to make for the horse. All of that is fine if you don’t expect much from your horse, but you won’t get much either. It’s just that simple. That’s why a well-trained horse is worth his weight in gold - because someone spent the hundreds of hours it took to make that horse safe, dependable, and well-trained to enjoy.
